Carb Tuning / Injection tuning
I work on a lot of carb bikes and restoring the carb makes a massive difference to how a bike runs. Once the bike is running well with clean carbs, working ignition system and good sealing exhaust then the real tuning can begin. With the tool shown above I can adjust the carbs to run optimally. This will generally get the bike running that bit sweeter. This tool can be used on fuel injected bikes and will show up any issues. Tuning the fuel injection system is a little more complicated, if the bike is standard the best case would be a service of the injectors which I can do in house.

Carb cleaning and tuning
Now becoming the most common item I work on, as less and less garages want to touch a carb bike. Cleaning carbs of all old fuel and dirt. There are a lot of fine passageways in a modern carb, and it can really effect performance and fuel efficiency. My carb cleaning process involves stripping a carb down to the body and all the parts, cleaning each piece one by one with strong cleaners and if necessary ultrasonic cleaning. Any o-rings will be replaced if available. I can offer this service on a mobile basis but it can be a lengthy process so may take several hours depending on how dirty the carbs are. *Due to new E10 fuel customers are advised to use super unleaded where possible. In the case of a carb strip down I replace all seals with E10 compatible rubbers.
Brake caliper refurbishment
Brake calipers need particular attention during a routine service. I take time to check brake calipers are working correctly and not binding onto the disc. With my caliper refurbishment I strip the caliper down, removing all the seals and pistons. Cleaning the grooves and passages of dirt. The alloy is cleaned and new seals installed. Advanced rubber safe grease is used to prevent corrosion and the caliper is rebuilt with new bleed nipples. Once rebuilt the new calipers are bled of air.
Headstock bearings
Headstock bearings cause notchy steering and slack when braking (clunking noise). Taper roller bearings are the best replacement, and I use high quality bearings when replacing a set. It's also important to ensure the bearings are seated properly, and for that I have a bearing press.
Cerakote ceramic coating
Cerakote is an ultra thin yet tough coating that we can apply to many bike parts. Engine casings, covers, cylinders, cam covers, fork bottoms, brake resovoir caps, footpeg hangars, brackets & more.
Crankshaft service
We can strip & rebuild most motorcycle cranks, old and new.
